Show what’s in your smart brain !

I split my friends in two groups. The first two besties sat at the desk on opposite sides with a white board and a dry erase marker. I called out cvc words, words with digraphs, and even tricky words. The first one who writes the correct word wins a point for the team !

Write a ♥️ if you hear the encouragement from my friends.

They were cheering them on and saying the sweetest things ! I love them soooo much and I’m going to have real tears on our last day of school 🥺🫶🏽 | Keyana Session

children sitting on the floor playing with paper plates

Sharyn Kish on Instagram: "You’ll want to save this game. We call it “Pass the Plate” and you can use it so many ways! My students in this particular group are practicing decoding CVC words. We have used this to practice letter and sound recognition, sight words, number recognition, one more/one less and the list goes on… 💗 You can play with (or without music). Katie Whitehead | Sharing Fun Phonics Games on Instagram: "Tricky Word Tubs As a step towards children being able to spell tricky words from memory you can provide them with the opportunity to practise spelling the word by unscrambling the letters. These dipping pots make the perfect tricky word tubs. Pop the magnetic letters inside to spell a tricky word and write the word that needs to be made on the lid. Children read the word, flip the lid, unmuddle the magnetic letters to spell it and then check the lid again. You can also extend this by encouraging children to write the word in whiteboard pen on the underside of the lid #phonicsfamily #phonics #spellings #spelling #words #teaching #teachers #tutor #tutoring #learning #education"
