Anna Maria Horner Improv Quilt This one of a kind quilt is completed and ready to ship to you! It may be one of my all-time favorite creations and is made in an improvisational pattern using many different fabrics from my absolute favorite designer, Anna Maria Horner, in a vibrant jewel tone and earth palette. The binding is made from coordinating fabric and is machine stitched to both sides for durability. The batting in the middle of the quilt is 100% cotton that is thin and lightweight…

Very easy quilt pattern using scraps, 10" squares or 2.5" strips. Border 2 sides of a square and call it done. No need to match the block borders with the square. In fact it's almost better if you don't. Pattern includes 4 quilt size options. There are no outer borders or sashings. Can't get easier. And it's an awesome stash buster. You can pick a quilt theme (girly, boy, nautical, outdoor) if you want to make your quilt very specific.

I'm on my way to cutting at least 700 (!!!) to make a lap size quilt. You know, I've got to hurry and whip this one up because we are running low on quilts around here. Ha! After cutting up squares, I have lots of odd sized trimmings that I store in this pretty wood bowl. I love to sit down and just sew them together. It's such good therapy…

My self-imposed ban on blog reading and posting is over as Lent ends tonight. I was only posting finishes on my blog, since this is my way of keeping track of what I've done and, more importantly, when. I missed reading about everyone's quilting adventures, but it was good for me to stop for a bit. As with most of us, the mask making continues. In between making masks, I worked on this scrappy quilt using 2 1/2" squares. As those who follow me know, I do not enjoy making scrappy quilts and…
