three basketball hoops sitting on top of an orange mat in the middle of a gym

During March Madness room transformations are an easy way to boost student engagement in the classroom! I did a basketball themed math review to prepare for our state standardized test. The whole group review was displayed on my SmartBoard and students answered each question on their dry erase boards. a basketball themed activity for kids to learn how to practice fractions and addition skills

Let's get ready to play some basketball!!! All you need for this lesson: plastic cups, masking tape, and plastic balls. Or, you can just crumble up paper and make your own basketballs. Students record the amount of basket made/missed and then write the fraction. The biggest fraction is the winner!
