My husband finished the chicken run! Our poor little hens can now run around outside, munch the grass, and feel the sun on their feathers. You can kind of see the little door from the coop to the run. The gateway from chicken hell to chicken heaven. The kids and chickens have been getting some extra exercise the last few days. As the subject line states, I need a fast and cheap solution as I am on a tight budget and they are getting pretty pissed since they're used to being formerly free range ALL day. I am open to any and all ideas.

I designed this chicken run & my Dad brought it to life. I will post more photos/angles to show details. I purchased a 200ft roll of coated chicken wire from a lady who was going to just toss it ($40–holy savings!). We went around the run & over the top to keep flying predators out. We went over the bottom half (and about a foot out) with hardware cloth. Cannot recommend hardware cloth enough! Chicken wire = keeps your chickens contained. Hardware cloth = keeps predators out!
