One of my Etsy customers had a question about a vintage pattern from "Old and New Designs in Tatting" by LaCroix, Sophie T., c.1910. The pattern #1143 is very pretty, easy to tat but a little hard to get started and explain. I gave it a try in my "Pansy" hand dyed thread, and had to think for awhile before I figured out how to do it. The years passed quickly. I’m still surprised how long the shuttles lay quiet in the drawer. There were some tatting accomplishments along the way which were unreported. This post rewinds to show the final destination for the ‘Edge Without a Cause’. The edging found a home on my great niece’s christening/baptism gown. It was a beautiful time for our family.
