Venice Carnival is held in early spring each year and is one of the most anticipated and celebrated events in Europe. The extravagant costumes and masks are quite memorable and no two carnivals are the same. This photo captures a woman dressed in brilliant royal blue and gold colors. Her eyes are very beautiful underneath the mask. She is quite dramatic in her pose as many of the revelers are. This photo comes in various standard sizes and is printed on archival paper.

I can't believe how lucky I was to check out the 2013 Carnavale in Venice - what a spectacle and experience! On certain days there are organized events for the masqueraders. On this day, Thursday, 7 February, there was a big gathering at the Santa Maria della Salute - so many photo ops - and great weather too - life is good!
