If you have been victimised then you are a victim. But I agree there is a difference between being victimised and having a victim mentality. The latter is part of a much bigger problem. And cracking out the victim mentality when YOU have wronged people will never get my sympathy. "I can't help it, I have x,y or z condition". That may well be true but that's not an excuse. You either understand the difference between right and wrong or you should be in an institution for your sake and others.
