We set out before dawn to tackle the East Rim Trail in Zion National Park. We had been told that this was a beautiful hike and we would be far away from the crowds. Jolley Gulch was stunning. The Ponderosa Pine Forest was welcome shade. Cable Mountain was an unplanned spur, but WELL worth the miles!  Echo Canyon was amazing beyond belief. The slot canyons near the end were a surprise that was better than any present we could have ever gotten.
