Robert McGinnis is an American painter and illustrator. The member of the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame Robert McGinnis was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1926. He studied fine art at Ohio State University. McGinnis apprenticed at Walt Disney Studios for some time.

Dəlilah, meaning "[She who] weakened" is a character in the Hebrew bible Book of Judges, where she is the "woman in the valley of Sorek" whom Samson loved, and who was his downfall. Her figure, one of several dangerous temptresses in the Hebrew Bible, has become emblematic: "Samson loved Delilah, she betrayed him, and, what is worse, she did it for money." (Wiki)

In the mid-forties, McGinnis played guard on the national champion Ohio State football team. For most of us that would be enough; grateful alumni set you up in a cushy job, and you can pull out the varsity sweater and the yearbook every so often and reminisce. But McGinnis has never been one to stand pat.
