Presenting the Stardust Lamp, honoring the starry night sky with bold metallic blue, copper and industrial fusion. Once again after rummaging through a stockpile of discarded items, I have assembled stacked empty olive cans shaping the body and half an oil drum for its lampshade. Many details and textures are wrapped into this design to represent amazing astronomical magic to wow your deepest imagination.

While still knee deep in a global pandemic, creativity continues to evolve. The Obelisk table lamp: a fusion of modern and industrial. Whatever it is that’s worth doing, do it with integrity. That seems to be my mission on this journey and in the process, I hope to achieve a greater understanding and purpose.

~THE EVOLUTION TABLE LAMP: a pandemic lamp of sorts mainly created from discarded leftover materials in my shop while honoring the stay at home order during covid-19. Repurposing empty spray cans and a discarded oil drum morphed into my vision, becoming the lamp body and shade. The copper patches symbolise all the bandages on a country under siege from a virus and a long history of racial inequality.

My mission here is to stay healthy and keep a low profile during these crazy times. Evolution table lamp is how I maintain some composer and keep insanity at bay! This is still a work in progress.

Unique in its design, the Cathedral Lamp dignifies a dark finish declaring its medieval past with a contemporary industrial presence. Glass shade pieces gloriously inspire the surrounding design using angled cuts and half sphere shapes while an elongated body style accents its candelabra focal point.

A real joy and challenge this table lamp was in the thought process of its design. The applied dark finish, angled cuts and other details, yield a unique look that speaks old and contemporary. I have had a difficult time getting back to finishing this listing on my website, but will get it done.

Creative blocks can affect us all. For me, when this happens, I'll cut a few pieces of metal to play with to get new ideas brewing. As a kid, Lego was my best toy ever! Today, I still like to play but my building blocks have changed to metal. You could say that I have found my way back to the sandbox.

Sometimes I'll have more than one lamp creation in the works. While I wait on some of the others, these two pieces are a great start for my next build.

Inserting glass to this lamp's body of this first edition to my Architectural Lighting Design Series.

Seemingly resurrected from old times and old horror flicks is what makes this one of a kind creation so unique with a vast variety of components compiling this dramatically interesting look.

One of many phases during the creative build process for this table lamp. Here, I've completed the three rail portion and diamond shaped brass links representing a chain for this lamp's body.

Life isn't always going to be a picnic. The creation of this lamp was a good reminder of that. It fought me tooth and nail. That's why it's important to stop, step back and evaluate what's going on. Glad I finished it!

I can totally appreciate when the lamp body is big enough to accomodate all the wires for multiple sockets. All the wire ends are soldered for a good solid connection and a multilayer of heat shrink tubing is applied to seal it off.

Each lamp creation requires a methodical process from start to finish. Here you see the body and base attached. Next is calculating the mounting holes for the three rails, and diamond shaped brass pieces representing chain links.

The moment I held this engine pulley, it was clear on how this was going to play out. Copper, black, and accents of brass was going to be the theme of this dual bedside lamp design.

Where past meets present, this classic representation of Art Nouveau style and modern elegance mingle in a dance of brilliance and romance. The body is constructed of tubular steel and finished in a black with silver specks powder coating. Quality brass parts and a glass shade from France with a bit of pink.
