The beginning of a page............
This was a print I took from the stencil. (StencilGirl) I used the stencil initially with spray paint and dye spray on a piece of art and while it was still sticky and wet I laid it onto a clean piece of paper and made a print. I let it dry for a day and then sprayed the print with a dye spray (Dylusions) Buffing away the excess ink you can see the way the ink stains the spray paint layer and still leaves a bit of the ivory showing through Let this dry well. Tomorrow we start to layer a…

These heart ones were all created for trading with others in an ATC group I belong to on Facebook. I love the ATC's size. 2.5 x 3.5 inches means you can create quick and use up even the tiniest scraps. All of the hearts and backgrounds were from previous projects. The words are all from various…

When I took the splitcoast Mix-ability challenge last week, I mixed Dylusions with matt medium to create a glaze, and it got me thinking about […]
Daisy in Distress (Oxides, that is!)
Good morning! Ardyth here with a card where the focus is all on the background! Did you know that A Jillian Vance Designs has Distress Oxide inks in stock? Below is a step-by-step tutorial for creating this luscious background. I worked on a craft mat, which is easily wiped up between layers. There's a lot of water involved, so it's important to use watercolor cardstock. It is also important to dry between layers so that the colours don't run together and become muddy. I think that blending…
