Shop Made Tools - Page 2
Hi Guys, It is winter time for most of us on this board and a lot of us may have a little extra shop time on our hands. During my career as a toolmaker and later a tool and diemaker, I made many, many tools for my own use. Some of them are run of the mill stuff like 123 blocks and parallels and some of them are things many of you have probably never seen. I have photographed many of them and would like to share them with the group if there is an interest.
Emco Unimat DB200 vs. SL1000
I've been thinking about getting a little Unimat for small jobs and the portability to take it on vacation. Equally equipped, is there significant difference between these models? I've read up on them a little but not seen a 1:1 comparison. I know they have their limitations but a small lathe with milling capability would be nice to have from time to time.
