Bhatura or Bhature is one of the most popular Punjabi recipe. The Bhatura is made with maida / all purpose flour and Semolina / sooji. Bhatura are thick leavened fried Indian bread. Bhatura are often eaten with Chhole. The combination of Chhole Bhature is very tasty and very popular all over India. You can make Bhatura so many ways - with yeast, without yeast, with eno, with soda and so on........ the list is endless. I make my Bhature with yeast. The Bhatura comes out very soft and tasty.
Roti Canai -- originated from southern India, but was modified and made famous by the mamak (Muslim-Indian) hawkers in Malaysia and Singapore. In Malaysia, this crispy and buttery (actually made with ghee) flat bread is called roti canai but across the straits in Singapore, they are commonly known as roti paratha.
