Customers would always ask me, even after being there for almost nine years, if I was new. At first, I thought that was strange, but then one person told me, "it's because you're so nice." I think that was one of the greatest compliments that I ever received from a client. I liked making people feel like they mattered. That was always a big thing for me. Some folks thought I wasn't being genuine, but I think real recognizes real. You can be genuinely happy for other people who succeed.
