Basics of 1 2 and 3 Point Perspective - AKA Parallel and Angular Perspective Lesson - Page 2 of 2 - How to Draw Step by Step Drawing Tutorials
Hold a box in your hand in such a position that you only see the front and top of it. Observe that as we view the top, its outer edges appear to converge. This condition is caused by an optical illusion. As the top turns away from us, the relationship between the length and width changes or diminishes. This phenomenon is known as foreshortening. Observe also that as we look at the face of the box, it is seen in its true form. The reason for this is that it is perpendicular to our line of…

One Point Perspective
This lesson on one point perspective went incredibly well yesterday with my 5th and 6th graders! I was shocked how quickly they picked up on the basic knowledge of using the vanishing point for every line they drew! I don't have any finished projects yet to share but here are a few pics of the beginning lesson. I began class by showing this You Tube video I found and the students were quite intrigued with it. So, I think it heightened their interest in the drawing lesson itself. Otherwise…

When I taught the first classs, I let them draw the eyes and noses themselves, but it was taking FOREVER, and they…

The Incidental Art Of Doodling And Why It Is So Fascinating - Bored Art
117.1Kshares Facebook154 Twitter16 Pinterest117.0K StumbleUpon1 TumblrWhat? Is doodling really an art? If a person were not really aware of what he or she is drawing, then would the results still be considered art? Yes, of course, in fact, most art comes from a level of the mind that we are not conscious of having. Doodling art is the result of the scribblings of people when they are not even aware of doing it. But just because they are not aware of doing it, does not mean that it is not…
