The South-eastern Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus banksii graptogyne) is only found in south-east South Australia and south-west Victoria. With an estimated population of about 1400 birds, the South-eastern Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo is in danger of extinction.

In Costa Rica and some other Spanish speaking countries, February 14th is celebrated as El dia del amor y la amistad or Day of love and friendship. I like that is has been broadened to be not just a day for sweethearts, but also a day for all friends. Trinidad Motmot (formerly Blue-crowned Motmot)
I was following some manakins when I flushed this guy. Motmots love to sit motionless for long periods. He picked a lovely little spot to perch and by contorting myself and my tripod around some trees I was able to capture a few images. The fill flash that I added in was just right to bring out his color. Check out that amazing racket tail too! Motmots are definitely some of my favorite birds. 7D + 500mm + 1.4x TC at 1/25 second!!
