Twiggy WAS fashion during my Jr. High days. She was the mod clothes style we wanted to wear & an idealization of what the perfect teen girl should be. I had a best friend who became anorexic aspiring to be like her. The boys, as I recall, didn't especially like her looks, but the girls...wow. We all wanted to be her for several years. Twiggy was the Mod model of millions of teens & our concept of beauty...right until we all became hippies.
