1850's Carmel Kid Straight Shoes These nice old shoes were made during the mid 19th Century from Carmel glazed kid with matching linen binding and laces. The shoes are known as "straights" because there is no left or right foot. The upper shoes are made of 2 pieces of kid. There is no back seam. The toes are squared. They are lined in Ivory linen. They are 5.75" long, 2" across the foot and 1.75" across the heels. The shoes are in good condition, sturdy and supple.
