Though Nikola Tesla is attributed the invention of the radio, many still consider Guglielmo Marconi the father of the radio. Marconi filed for patents in 1900, three years after Tesla. Despite the denial Marconi’s radio company experienced financial success and support from the likes of Thomas Edison and Andrew Carnegie. Marconi was granted a patent for the invention of the radio in 1904, but it was overturned by a Supreme Court ruling in 1943.
