Hermitage Castle, Scotland (Lots of pictures. Photographer says, "Despite the ruins, so much of Hermitage remains intact. The sense of history about the place is palpable...it did not have an overriding feeling of darkness or foreboding. Quite the opposite. There was a feeling of peace and serenity here that is hard to put into words...There was something very welcoming about it.
