The USGA Museum www.usgamuseum.com/ in Far Hills, NJ has a comprehensive collection of golf artifacts, photographs, and memorabilia. Out back, the Pynes Putting Course www.usgamuseum.com/visit_museum/putting_course/ played with replica of antique clubs and balls, is inspired by the famous putting course at St. Andrew's.

Head north to Hudson, New York where the antiquing is good and a visit to Frederic Church's home, Olana www.olana.org/ is repaid by the eccentric house, grounds, and beautiful views.
