Black Holes in Space
Why Black Holes of Course!
Evidence of Alien Planets? No, It's Just Gas
The Fomalhaut system contains a cleared ring (shining brightly in this image) in the dust around the star. Scientists suspect that this gap was cleared by a pair of terrestrial planets, but new research reveals that the presence of gas could also create such a breach.
NASA telescope catches black hole's rare light show
El descubrimiento de un agujero negro supermasivo desde los primeros cosmos está configurado para reescribir la física, dicen los científicos......The discovery of a supermassive black hole from the early cosmos is set to rewrite physics, say scientists. Más
Massive Black Hole Duo: Possible Sighting by NASA's WISE
Astronomers have spotted what appear to be two supermassive black holes at the heart of a remote galaxy, circling each other like dance partners. The incredibly rare sighting was made with the help of NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, or WISE.
Black Hole Caught in Act of Swallowing Star
Black Hole Caught in Act of Swallowing Star ...... This still from a NASA video animatino depicts how the black hole black holes, stars & galaxies, how black holes form, nasa swift spacecraft, x-ray astronomy, supermassive black holes Swift J1644+57 is eating a massive star, a process that scientists witnessed for the first time using the Swift satellite. Quasar- this is a black hole that is the brightest object in the universe and is thousands of times brighter than the stars in a galaxy combined! Light is shot out of either end in extremely long distances. The light we see coming from these today is very old meaning there are no quasars recently. They are all from far away but a new one can appear at any moment
Black Hole Winds Quench Star Formation in Entire Galaxies
Winds from a giant black hole at the center of the galaxy IRAS F11119 3257 are shown blowing out raw material from the galaxy's core in this artist's illustration. A new study of the galaxy suggests these black hole winds can stunt star formation.
The Origin of the Fabric of Reality
Black holes are sometimes described as "giant vacuum cleaners in the sky", sucking in everything around them, but this description is highly inaccurate... so a better visualization would be that of a whirlpool or tornado curling like water ... The creators Spirit Science videos just released a new video describing Nassim Haramein's work on black holes and how to properly visualize the structure of the vacuum: (post by Jamie Janover)
Is THIS The Youngest Black Hole In Our Galaxy?
youngest black hole --- NASA may have just uncovered the youngest black hole in Earth's galaxy. The young black hole, located within a supernova remnant, was created by a rare supernova explosion of a massive star, according to a written statement from NASA. The administration's Chandra X-ray Observatory captured images of the so-called remnant W49B, located 26,000 light-years away.
