My 2x Gt Grdfthr Wm Robinson, fought at the Battle aged 19 with the 73rd Regt of Foot. His company formed square many times in order to counter repeated French cavalry charges & he was wounded in the eye. Sgt Morris in his book "Memories of an Infantryman in the Napoleonic Wars" recounts the story that "the man beside me was wounded in the head & left for dead. Imagine my surprise when he rejoined us in Paris". Invalided out, he became a missionary in Carlisle & died 1888 in Fleetwood.
