To make it easier, I first drew 4 butterfly shapes which I cut out. I used those stencils to draw some butterflies over the first layer of dry paint. For the second layer, I painted around those butterflies and once dry, I drew more butterflies, making sure to overlap some of them. I then applied the next layer of paint around ALL of the butterflies, thereby creating depth. After drawing the third set of butterflies, I painted the 4th and last background layer
