Evening boots. 1860-1869. french. silk  Shoes from this time period usually had a small heel or was flat. Decorative bows or rosettes adorned the footwear. Many ankle boots had elastic gores in order to make them more comfortable. These particular French boots were from around 1860-1869 and are made of silk.
