Winter reindeer in the snow

White Elk by Anlij

White deer or reindeer?

Reindeer calf

Both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year but male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Without the snow...last night I pulled in my drive and this pic was right in front of me,,,,2 gorgeous deer staring right at me.

This compilation of miraculous photographs will show you various wild and domestic animals coping with the cold winter. Together with their beautiful surroundings, these animal unveil winter's harsh, still and vital poetry.
