The Zebra shark (Stegostoma fasciatum) is a species of carpet shark that is found throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific, frequenting coral reefs and sandy flats. The maximum reported size of a zebra shark is nearly 12 feet, though lengths of less than 7.5 feet are more common.
