Olivier Grossetete - Pont de Singe (2012) “Pont de Singe reflects the architecture of Tatton’s Japanese Garden as well as the flight of fancy of the Formal Gardens as a whole. The installation is a folly of design and engineering: a featherweight bridge designed for contemplation rather than function, emanating from and leading to the water, held aloft by three helium-filled balloons, recalling the power of daydreams and their ability to transform reality.”

Love the hot air balloons. Designed by French installation artist Olivier Grossetête, Pont de Singe is located over a lake in the Japanese Garden at Tatton Park in the UK.

The 90-meter-high, 50-meter-wide sculpture was made from 20,350 square metres of semi-transparent polyester fabric and 4,500 meters of rope, with a volume of 177,000 cubic metres. This was the first major work after the passing of his wife and artistic partner Jeanne-Claude in 2009

Palau’s Jellyfish Lake once had an outlet to the sea, but is now connected to the ocean through fissures and tunnels in the surrounding limestone. Millions of jellyfish were trapped in the basin when sea levels dropped, and over time they evolved into a species that have lost the ability to sting because they don’t have to fight off predators. Jellyfish Lake is a snorkeling and swimming extravaganza where you can get up close and personal with an estimated 10 mil Jellyfish.
