¤ very large and visually striking Newcomb College vase was decorated by Mary Williams Butler (1873-1937). Butler began her career at Newcomb in 1898 and received her Diploma in Art in 1901. Butler worked as a pottery decorator and in the metalwork program at Newcomb.
