Water Lilly

Love the colors of these two flowers against the green of the lily pads and the blueish purple of the water.

This is all about its shape as an idea for a new addition to my current half-sleeve flower & deep feelings/struggles..to say the least, theme tats :) Source: Google Images

it is a waterlily (Nymphaea alba). Lotus have the leaves above the water, and waterlilies have the leaves in contact with the water. Also the lotus flowers have a big pad in the center, and fluted petals." description via https://www.pinterest.com/criticinsatiabl

"The lotus is a flower that grows in the mud. The thicker and deeper the mud, the more beautiful the lotus blooms." May you live like the lotus: at ease in muddy water. Most beautiful flower ❤️

Dahlias scream high summer. Large or small, single flowered or multi-petalled w/ jewel-like colors & lush growth. First recorded by Westerners in 1615, when they were called by their Mexican name, Acoctli. They disappeared from record until 1787 when a botanical expedition ‘rediscovered’ them, & sent seeds back to Europe. ~My grandfather won prizes for the Dahlias he grew in our London garden. I can still see the autumn gold & russet colors that he loved w/ the spectacular large flower…

Red Lotus Flower Summing in her habitat <3

My favorite flower is the lotus flower. The symbolism is amazing.something that thrives in a dark muddy murky environment to push toward the surface of the water and bloom with such vivid beautiful color. I want to be more like the lotus.
