this is a photograph of 2 garnet crystals inside a colorless topaz. it's at about magnification through a microscope. technically, it's called it a photomicrograph. the mineral specimen in the scope is about 1 x 1 x 2 cm large.
I either want a rough diamond or one that has inclusions in it (or maybe a colored one..)- this one has carbon in it I think. (not my pic-http://www.callagold.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/images-1.jpg?x71152)
Garnet Inclusion in Diamond This stone is classified as "flawed" but I don't think so. INTERESTING because the diamond in my engagement ring contains a green garnet -- known as tsavorite -- that's why i loved it so much!
