Assuit shawl, gold coloured metal. This shawl is smaller than most older pieces I've come across. I was really taken by its design. I love how it is mimicking antique piano shawls. It is on very fine tulle but the stitches are far smaller than my other shawls. I think this and the size (64 x 25 inches) explain why it is lighter in weight for such a densely decorated piece. I believe it most likely dates between 1950s - 1980s
