Hastings 1066 - not sure about the accuracy of this scene. It seems this shows the Norman counterattack on their left when the Saxon fyrdmen broke ranks from the shield wall to pursue the retreating Norman formations. The remaining Saxon shieldwall looks to be visible on the hill to the upper left. The action looks a bit confused, so it is difficult to discern the various units.
