Sopa De Pata: This is a typical salvadroean dish. A hearty soup made from cow’s feet, tripe, yuca (manioc root), guisayotes (chayotes), elotes (sweet corn), platanos (bananas), and ejotes (string beans). It may be seasoned with hojas de alcapate (Mexican coriander leaves) and flavored to taste with limón (lemon) or chile.

Bieler's Broth. INGREDIENTS: 3 celery stalks, 3 whole zucchini, 2 cups string beans, 1 cup parsley. METHOD: Put 1 cup water into a pot. Put string beans in first and steam for c 5 mins. Then put in celery and zucchini & steam for another 5 - 7 mins or until tender, but still crisp. Do not overcook. Then put the vegetable water and the cooked vegetables together into the blender. Blend until liquefied. Add a tsp of raw unsalted butter and the parsley. Blend again until parsley is liquefied.
Ham & Stringbean Soup: 4 cups chicken broth (or water and a ham bone to boil), Diced Ham - 1 1/2 to 2 cups, large can diced potatoes or 3 potatoes peeled/diced and boiled, 1-2 cans string beans cut Put it all together and bring to a boil.
