Persian / Caucasus qama (double edged dagger) 18th to 19th century, broad straight blade with central groove decorated with damascened cartouches of foliate motifs, horn and marine ivory grips with an intricate arabesque of lotus palmettes, scrolling tendrils and cloud-bands in gold and painted, scabbard with painted decoration and silver lower chape, the upper mount of steel with gold damascening, 58.7cm.

In 2000 it was reported that a beautiful dagger was stolen from the collection of Armor belonged to father of Nikolay II, Alexander III.The collection was sent to California by Russian museum. This dagger was presented for Alexander III by Bukhara (Middle East) Emir in 1883, when they met for the first time.The dagger was decorated by emeralds, turquoise and got golden scabbard. The dagger was also decorated by the monogram of Alexander III (AIII).

Zirah Bouk, strong, slightly curved, single -and half-edged, damask blade, swollen tip, chiselled at the back, gilt floral motifs at the back and the forte; fine, damask hilt decorated with floral gold inlays, button with suspension ring. Wooden scabbard with green velvet covering (very worn), pierced, gilt brass mounts. dimensions: length 28 cm. provenance: India (Moghul), 18th Century.
