Late 18th century Portuguese silver pendant earrings, the double cluster tops linked to ribbons tied in bow-knots and double cluster pendant drops. The earrings are densely set with foiled, sea-green chrysoberyl in closed back settings. The border of gold bead work is a distinctively Portuguese feature. The earrings have their original reverse silver ear fittings with wig loops. The earrings are 3 and 1/4 inches long. For identical, see L. d'Orey, Five Centuries of Jewellery, figure 151.
