A rare and exceptional ovoid redware jug or bottle with pinched sides, New England, probably Gonic, New Hampshire, C. 1840. This early piece of redware has a wonderful mottled orange & green lead glaze measures 7" tall & just over 4" in diameter at the bottom. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. An outstanding example of early New England redware. Sold 6/24/15 on ebay for $270.

Condition Report: Glaze flakes on the surface and top edges. 2-3 rim flakes (mostly in the glaze), glaze flakes on the handle with an additional bruise to one side of the handle. Surface wear around the widest part of the jug.
