The world's largest Opal Matrix has just been found in the opal fields of South Australia. The stone which is a whoppingly unbelievable carats in size is currently in Australia and was found by noted designer Stuart Hughes and his associates.

Red beryl (aka bixbite, “red emerald,” or “scarlet emerald”) was first described in 1904, and while it is closely related on a chemical level to both emerald and aquamarine, it is considerably rarer than both.
