She was one of the most beautiful women in cinema's history, but also became the inventor of the first form of spread spectrum. So, astonishingly Hedy evolved from big-screen temptress to engineering "goddess," as she had invented a technique for spread spectrum communications and frequency hopping for wireless communications, which is the basis for our GPS and Wi-Fi technologies.
