Joy Division

An ironic name for the band. "Love Will Tear Us Apart" was one of their most successful songs, in terms of radio play. The band evolved into New Order after Ian Curtis committed suicide.

"I sometimes wonder whether Joy Division would have become the new U2, the rock band that Hooky and Bernard wanted them to be." (Kevin Cummins, Joy Division photographer).
