The Cub and Boy Scouts programs (as well as opportunities serving in the Church) were a good experience for me growing up, blessing my life as they are now for my boys—helping better prepare them for honorable lives of patriotism and meaningful contribution. “Awake, my sons; put on the armor of righteousness. Shake off the chains with which ye are bound, and come forth out of obscurity, and arise” (2 Ne. 1:23; the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ).
"Will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?" (3 Ne. 9:13; the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ) The 'Good News' is that no matter what happens in life-no matter how difficult things get-"his hand is stretched out still." He'll never give up on us, and will always be there... inviting us to reach up, take His hand, to become "encircled about eternally in the arms of his love."
