Loose Parts: Inspiring Play in Young Children by Lisa Daly and Miriam Beloglovsky. Children can move, manipulate, and control natural and synthetic materials while they use their imagination and creativity with endless learning possibilities
This display of the wood and stones is so inviting and would definitely grad childrens attention when they are looking for what they would like to play with. I think its incredibly important to keep loose materials presented in an inviting, intriguing way
I pinned this because I want to bring my children to a park and go on a nature walk to collect items like this! And be able to make art and leave them in the classroom (sadly our budget doesn't allow buses for field trips :( )
natural resources can be used / combined / played with in any way the child wishes, there is no pre-determined outcome. Heuristic Play allows a child to use their imagination and be creative, without any pressure to produce / achieve something.
