Early Times est le premier volet du projet au long-cours de Vasantha Yogananthan, A Myth of Two Souls, qui propose une relecture contemporaine du Ramayana, un texte mythologique fondamental de la religion hindouiste. Cette épopée constituée de sept chapitres et attribuée au poète Valmiki a été composée il y a plus de deux mille ans.
