Austrian Model 1915 Portable Flamethrower Used Defensively Kleine 22l M. 15 Flammenwerfer as a static weapon. In this role, one man could operate it. A very long lance was fitted for defensive use in a trench. For an an offensive role, a much shorter lance was attached to two lengths of hose, and a two-man squad consisting of flame shooter (Flammenshütze) and carrier (Träger) was employed.
