The Great Thar desert is found in northwest India. It has stretches of sand dunes dotted with gravel plains. The vegetation and animal life is very rich and is home to animals such as the Indian gazelle and camels. It is also one of the most populated deserts in the world, with people farming the many crops grown there and looking after their cattle.
