Gajde: spominje ih već i car Neron, nemoguće ih je svirati bez orijentalne tehnike disanja. Koristila se koža cijele životinje a u mjesto nogu i vrata umetali su se usna cijev i sviraonik koji je imao najčšće 7 rupa i rupu za palac. U srednjem vijeku postoji u dvije vrste: cilindrična unutarnja cijev i jednostruki jezičak ili stožasta unutarnja cijev i dvostruki jezičac. Prepuhavanje je moguće jedino kod gajdi s stožastom unutarnjom cijevi. Cijev za bordunski bas nije uobičajena.

SOVIET UNON: This and the next two stamps are particularly nice; they are not only well drawn and printed, but depict scarce bagpipes about which we would like to know more. Each presents instruments from different Soviet republics. The pipe shown here has similarities in appearance to various Eastern European bagpipes.
