Woodlawn Cemetery, founded in 1896, is located north of Detroit's prestigious Palmer Woods neighborhood. This bronze statue is one of the beautiful memorials and mausoleums located here. The site is the W.H. Harrison Memorial, though I have named her the "Bronze Memorial." This photograph made it to Explore. Thanks to all who viewed and/or commented on it.

Glenna June Bellomy Anderson (1926 - 2008). When the cemetery sexton sold Glenna her stone, her request for the inscription on it was "I Was. . . SOMEBODY. He said the reason was that Glenna felt that many years after she died no one would probably remember her anyway. By having this inscription on her stone, people would see & remember it.
