Alexandre Silva is from Brazil where he performed professionally with Sesi Minas and then later in the United States at Utah Regional Ballet. He received his dance training from Cuban master teacher Pablo Moret at Ballet Cristina Helena and was awarded Best Male Dancer in 2000 at the Joinville International Competition. Alexandre joined the corps de ballet in 2006 with his wife, Christine Schwaner and was promoted to soloist for the 2008-2009 Season.

Gabrielle Thurlow is a native of Buffalo, New York and is in her fourth season with PBT. She received her training from Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, where she participated in the Graduate Program, and Neglia Conservatory of Ballet in Buffalo, NY. She has also studied at various summer programs, including School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre in New York.
Christopher Budzynski, began his training with his mother at Budzynski Studios located near Philadelphia. He later studied at the North Carolina School for the Arts, The School of American Ballet in New York City and Hungarian National Ballet School in Budapest. He joined Boston Ballet in 1995 and was promoted to first soloist in 1999. He and his wife, Alexandra Kochis, joined PBT in 2006.
Elysa Hotchkiss is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania and received her early training with the Lake Erie Ballet School. She attended PBT School’s Intensive Summer Program and was offered a full scholarship to attend PBT Graduate Program. Now in her seventh season with PBT, she has enjoyed performing such roles as the lead in Dwight Rhoden’s Carmina Burana and Lady Capulet in Jean-Christophe Maillot’s Roméo et Juliette.
Yoshiaki Nakano, a native of Japan, joins PBT this season as an apprentice. He received his early training at the Elite Ballet Studio in Osaka, Japan. He later trained at San Francisco Ballet School and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School's Pre-Professional Graduate Program. Yoshiaki has danced in PBT's past performances of The Nutcracker and Swan Lake.
Julia Erickson, received her training from Pacific Northwest Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet School. She has toured to Europe and Asia with PNB and danced with the Fort Worth Dallas ballet for two seasons prior to joining PBT in 2001. She was promoted to soloist in 2004 and principal in 2009. She has danced principal roles in Balanchine’s Themes and Variations, Who Cares? and Serenade, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, and Diana in Diana & Acteon.
