Hotpoint Model M65DE: This radio was manufactured by Australian General Electric, Sydney in 1952. It has both BC and SW Wave bands and has 5 Tubes: 6BE6 6BA6 6AV6 6AQ5 6X4. The model’s casing seems to be subject to warping/cracking from age and stresses placed on it. This particular radio has a few cracks and missing bits filled with epoxy resin painted cream. Surprisingly, its knobs are still intact. The chassis is in good condition and the radio really performs well!

It has a totally enclosed safety sealed plaskon cabinet and its dimensions are eight 18 cm (H) x 29 cm (W) x 16 cm (D). It’s valves are as follows: 6A8G 6B8G 6V6GT 5Y3GT. This sought after model is known as the "snail" by collectors and it was available in a wide variety of colours. This radio easily receives all local AM stations and has strong volume.
