Exford Homestead, Melton South, is one of the earliest surviving residences in Victoria and part of a rare surviving 1840s homestead complex. Built on the run acquired in 1842 by pastoralist Simon Staughton, the oldest central portion of the homestead dates from c1843 and is constructed of pise.
